The West Hawai’i County Band will present an hour of free band music in its monthly Free Concert Series in Kailua-Kona on the Big Island. Come enjoy the band playing music selected from its extensive repertoire, including; marches, show tunes, jazz favorites, the classics and Hawaiian traditional tunes. Each monthly concert is an hour in length presented by musicians from our own community.

We head north up Queen Ka’ahumanu Hwy and turn back at various points- distance varies from 10 to 70+ miles depending on how far and fast you want to ride. Fast riders can enjoy a good paceline workout with members of the Hammerhead Race Team. There is usually a group going your pace and distance so don’t worry if your not a racer.

Head to Kona Commons on Friday, June 2, from 1 p.m. to 6 p.m. or Saturday, June 3, from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. There are more than a dozen merchants hiring and some will offer on-the-spot interviews for a job.
Management, retail, and food service positions are all available. High school students and college students home for the summer are welcome. Merchants who are hiring will have tables outside their storefronts with staff to handle applications and interviews.
