The KVBID Board has identified these Top 5 Strategic Initiatives:

• Create an identity and vehicle/pedestrian wayfinding sign system for the Village including Gateways at key points of entry to enhance identity and guidance to key destinations, sites and parking;
  
• Transfer Hale Halawai programming to Old Airport Park and remove Hale Halawai structure and transform space into oceanfront park with cultural center and/or outdoor theater;
  
• Enhance Kailua Pier to make it more attractive and beautiful;
  
• Install a distinctive, branded, and unified furniture program including benches, lights, litter baskets, and torches;
  
• Establish a waterfront torch lighting ritual.
