Events

The 20 members of the band will present an hour of free band music in its monthly Free Concert Series. The selections will include music made famous by the likes of Stevie Wonder and Frank Sinatra as well as a real, honest-to-goodness circus march by K.L King and a more traditional march by J.P. Sousa. The band will also honor the Hawaiian tradition with tunes arranged by Bud Dant including “Beautiful Kahana” and “Big Island Anthem.” And of course there will be more!

Each monthly concert is an hour in length presented by musicians from your community.

The West Hawai‘i County Band will be led by guest director Richard Shields.

This concert series is brought to you in part by the County of Hawai’i Parks and Recreation Department and the West Hawai‘i County Band Friends.
