Placemaking focuses a collective community vision and brings together people who care about places. According to the national leader Project for Public Spaces, “Improving public spaces and the lives of people who use them means finding the patience to take small steps, to truly listen to people, and to see what works best, eventually turning a group vision into the reality of a great public place.”

Our Placemaking Committee has been hard at work on several initiatives including interpretive and wayfinding signage, publication racks and street furniture.
