2026 Kailua Kalikimaka Window Decorating Contest
CONTEST INFORMATION
Kailua Village Business Improvement District looks forward to enticing community members to shop small and shop local in Historic Kailua Village.
We invite business owners and shopkeepers in the District to enter the NEW! 2026 Christmas Window Decoration Contest. See HistoricKailuaVillage.com for district parameters.
Business owners and shopkeepers must submit their entry by 5 pm on Friday, November 13. Judging will begin on Tuesday, December 1. Christmas windows must remain decorated from December 1 through December 31.
A judging panel will evaluate the entries and name a Judges’ 1st, 2nd and 3rd place awards.

Judges 1st place winner will receive $1,500
Judges 2nd place winner will receive $1,000
Judges 3rd place winner will receive $500

It’s free. There’s no cost or fee to enter.

CONTEST GUIDELINES
• Contest windows must be completed and ready for judging on Monday, Nov. 30
• Judging will begin on Tuesday, December 1.
• Winners will be announced during the Kailua Village Christmas Parade on Dec. 12
• The contest is for window decorations visible from the exterior only
• Consider lighting up your windows at night
• Get creative!
