Historic Kailua Village is transformed for the holidays with the addition of festive Kailua Kalikimaka banners, brightly colored holiday décor for the season and events throughout.

Friday, November 25
Village Holiday Tree Lighting
Holiday festivities kick off on Friday, November 27 with a traditional lighting of the Village Christmas tree. Meet friends and family, and yes, bring the kids to Emma’s Square, across from Hulihee Palace, at 5:45 pm to begin the holiday season.
Saturday, December 3
Dinner and Movie Night
Decked out for the holidays, Historic Kailua Village will be particularly festive on Saturday, December 3 with Dinner and a Movie Night at Kona Commons. Bring the entire family down for a jolly good time at 5:30 pm and enjoy a free classic holiday movie, popcorn and Santa too! Don’t forget to bring your chairs, but no coolers please.
Sunday, December 11
Historic Kailua Village Marketplace, Hale Halawai County Pavilion 1pm to 6pm
Free Hawaiian Holiday Concert featuring HAPA, Hawaii’s popular musical duo. This award-winning live entertainment takes center stage at 5 pm for a free holiday concert under the monkeypod tree at Emma’s Square.
Lighted Boat Parade
Only in Kona will you be able to celebrate the holidays with a Lighted Boat Parade to celebrate the holidays. Kona’s fleet will put on a jovial show in Kailua Bay. Body Glove will be docked at Kailua Pier for great viewing and food and beverages available for purchase. The Lighted Boat Parade at the Kailua Pier starts at 6 pm.
